Your live account starts at $0, and your first job is to build the buffer. While you do, your drawdown trails your end-of-day balance. Once your profit reaches a dollar amount equal to your max drawdown, the drawdown stops trailing and locks at $0, which is the point your Live Bonus is released. From then on, you can only request a payout on profit above the buffer. If your balance falls back below the buffer, you cannot request a payout until you are above it again.
Example: $50,000 live account
This account starts at $0 with a $2,000 max drawdown, so your buffer target is $2,000.
Day 1: You make $800. Balance $800. Your drawdown trails up with your end-of-day balance. No payout yet, and no bonus yet.
Day 2: You make another $700. Balance $1,500. Still building the buffer.
Day 3: You make $500. Balance $2,000. Your profit now equals your $2,000 max drawdown, so the drawdown locks at $0 (your starting balance) and the account can no longer fall below its starting balance. Your $2,000 Live Bonus is released in full. Your buffer is now $2,000.
Day 4: You make $600. Balance $2,600, which is $600 above the buffer. You request a payout on that $600. With the 90/10 split you receive $540, and your balance returns to the $2,000 buffer.
Day 5: You lose $400. Balance $1,600, below the buffer. You cannot request a payout.
Day 6: You make $700. Balance $2,300, back above the buffer by $300. You can request a payout on that $300 and receive $270.
