Hedging within a single account as part of a normal trading strategy is permitted. A Trader may hold both a long and a short position on the same contract within the same account where one position is in mini contracts and the other is in micro contracts. A Trader may also hold both a long and a short position on two different contracts within the same account.
Hedging across separate accounts is strictly prohibited. A Trader may not hold opposing long and short positions on the same contract across separate accounts, whether in mini or micro contracts. A Trader may not hold opposing positions on different but correlated contracts across separate accounts.
Placing opposing positions across multiple accounts, whether personally owned, held by another trader, or held at another prop firm with the intent to offset or negate market risk, is strictly prohibited. This includes placing opposing or hedged positions across a Trader's own accounts, or in coordination with other clients, to offset risk or lock in profit artificially.
