During the evaluation stage, there are no restrictions on trading around news events.
Once you are funded, whether on a 1-Step Challenge Funded Account or an Instant Account, a four minute window applies around high impact news events. You cannot open, close, or trigger pending orders within 2 minutes before or after a scheduled release. Positions opened before the window began may be held through the event. Any profit made from activity inside the restricted window is removed, while any loss stays on the account.
