This article covers everything you need to know about the 1-Step Challenge: the evaluation stage, the funded stage, and payouts, all in one place.
Key Benefits
• No time limit to complete the evaluation.
• Max Drawdown trails on an End of Day basis, giving you room to build a track record.
• No activation fee. Your Funded Account is activated at no extra cost once you pass.
• 90/10 Reward Split once funded.
Evaluation Stage
Your goal during evaluation is to hit the Profit Target for your account size, complete 3 Minimum Profitable Days, and stay within the risk limits below. News trading is fully allowed during evaluation, and there is no fixed time limit to complete it.
Account Size | Profit Target | Daily Drawdown | Max Drawdown | Contract Limit (Mini/Micro) | Min. Profitable Days | Consistency Rule |
$25,000 | $1,200 | None | $1,000 | 2 / 20 | 3 (at least 0.25% profit each day) | 40% |
$50,000 | $3,000 | $1,250 | $2,000 | 4 / 40 | 3 (at least 0.25% profit each day) | 40% |
$100,000 | $6,000 | $2,000 | $3,000 | 6 / 60 | 3 (at least 0.25% profit each day) | 40% |
$150,000 | $9,000 | $3,000 | $4,500 | 10 / 100 | 3 (at least 0.25% profit each day) | 40% |
Daily Drawdown (Soft Breach)
Daily Drawdown is a Soft Breach. Exceeding it on a single day closes your open positions for the day but does not fail your account. Max Drawdown is a Hard Breach. Exceeding it fails the evaluation immediately.
Maximum Drawdown (Hard Breach)
1-Step Challenge evaluation and Funded Accounts use an End of Day Drawdown system to calculate the Max Drawdown.
At the end of each trading day, the system calculates your account's highest closing balance. The Max Drawdown then rises in line with that balance, up to a defined point. Once your Max Drawdown reaches equal to the Initial AccountBalance, the Max Drawdown locks in place and no longer moves.
Example: on a $50,000 account, the floor starts at $48,000. If your end of day balance grows to $52,000, the floor trails up to $50,000 and gets locked, now even if you make further profit, it will not move.
Consistency Rule
The Consistency Rule also applies during evaluation: no single day's profit may exceed 40% of your total evaluation profit. Once you hit the Profit Target, complete your Minimum Profitable Days, and stay within the rules, you request progression to a Funded Account through your Dashboard.
Funded Stage
Once you are funded, your goal shifts to clearing your Profit Buffer and requesting payouts. The Profit Buffer is the amount of profit that always has to stay in your account before you are allowed to request a payout, a cushion that protects the account rather than something you can withdraw.
Account Size | Daily Drawdown | Max Drawdown (locks after Buffer) | Profit Buffer | Consistency Rule | Contract Limit (Mini/Micro) |
$25,000 | None | $1,000 | $1,000 | 40% | 2 / 20 |
$50,000 | $1,250 | $2,000 | $2,000 | 40% | 4 / 40 |
$100,000 | $2,000 | $3,000 | $3,000 | 40% | 6 / 60 |
$150,000 | $3,000 | $4,500 | $4,500 | 40% | 10 / 100 |
During the Funded stage, news trading is restricted (no trades in the 2 minutes before or after high-impact news), and 3 Minimum Profitable Days (at least 0.25% each day) are required per Payout Cycle. There is no hard dollar cap on daily profit; the Consistency Rule simply limits how much of your total cycle profit can come from a single day.
Payouts
Reaching the Profit Buffer only happens once. Once you get there, your Max Drawdown locks permanently, and the Buffer amount stays in the account for good, you never need to rebuild it. From that point, requesting a payout, first or any later one, just needs the following:
• The Minimum Profit Goal for your account size, in new profit above what is already in the account (see table below). This is what you need every Payout Cycle, not the Profit Buffer again.
• 3 Minimum Profitable Days completed in this Payout Cycle.
• Consistency Rule met: no single day over 40% of total cycle profit.
• The requested amount is at least $500, before the Reward Split.
• All open positions are closed, and KYC and compliance checks are clear.
Account Size | Minimum Profit Goal |
$25,000 | $250 |
$50,000 | $500 |
$100,000 | $1,000 |
$150,000 | $1,500 |
Your Reward Split is 90%. You keep 90% of eligible profits, and Finotive Futures retains 10%.
Account Size | Max 1st Payout | Max 2nd+ Payout |
$25,000 | $1,000 | $1,500 |
$50,000 | $2,000 | $2,500 |
$100,000 | $2,500 | $3,000 |
$150,000 | $3,000 | $3,500 |
Resets
If you fail the evaluation stage, you can purchase a reset within 14 calendar days of the breach at a discounted price. If you fail a Funded Account, you can purchase a Funded Account Reset within 14 calendar days of the breach, up to 2 resets before your first payout on that account. The reset fee is 5 times the evaluation fee for your account size.
